Artemis looked out the window momentarily as painful memories flooded her. "I was there a week after they found evidence that I was contacting the Contenders with information on the C.M.I." She replied quietly, meeting Amy's gaze. "I told them nothing, I swear." She admitted with sincerity.
"No need to fret," Amy assured her. "I didn't think for a minute that you had told them anything. But if you had, I certainly wouldn't have held it against you. They don't make it easy to refuse." She gave Artemis a sad smile before sipping her coffee slowly. "Do you have any living relatives?" She now asked. That, too, wasn't something she would bring up in a real interview, but was an important factor under the circumstances.

(Yay for a 100 pages!)
Artemis nodded her head in shared understanding. "No, I don't." That was information that Artemis alone knew had left her heart hollow.

"Far too many people nowadays give that reply," Amy said sadly. She set her mug down carefully so the hot liquid wouldn't slosh out as she thought of another question. "Is there a special someone I should be aware of who may be searching for you?" She asked, but before Artemis could reply, she quickly added, "You don't have to answer that if you don't want. I'm just being nosy now."

He adjusted his helmet then set off for a well known location.
Jaxson finally arrived at set destination. He parked the bike across the road in an alley to keep it out of sight then made his way towards the coffeeshop, a place he knew only from the outside. When Amy had given him the address three years ago, he had come on several occasions with the intention of going in, but had never made it through the door. It had been enough to simply look from outside. But now something kept him walking.

He went confidently up to the door only to be greeted with a "CLOSED: back in half an hour" sign. The curtain on the shop window was pulled down as was the door shade.

"No." Artemis replied in honesty. As a man came to mind she immediately pushed away the idea. "After my family was executed by the C.M.I. I separated myself from everyone I cared about." She explained, hoping the reply would help her avoid being asked further questions similar to this by Amy.

(just did a Jaxson post ^ XD )

"Very understandable, as I did pretty much the same thing," Amy laughed lightly in a weak attempt to lighten the mood. "Though I suppose some separated from me," she murmured. She glanced up the clock and her eyes widened with surprise. "Oh dear, nearly time for the afternoon crowd. I guess that's it for now, but I'm sure I'll have more questions later," she said hurriedly, getting up and taking her empty mug.

(Just read it ;) )
Artemis nodded her head in silence as she listened to Amy share a little information about herself. She them rose, following Amy with the intent of helping her in any way that she could. "I could take orders, if that would be helpful to you." Artemis thought aloud, she knew Amy needed to cook, and since Artemis had never learned the art of cooking, taking orders was a better option.
