The agent doubled back with a hook to Simeon's jaw, dislocating it. Simeon backed away in pain, before popping his jaw back in place. He rushed at the agent, fury in his eyes, and unleashed a series of punches that sent the agent to the floor, where they resumed their fight. After a few more blows from each, Simeon got up quickly and landed a kick directly on the agent's head, knocking him out. He crawled backwards, his face covered in blood.

Brooklyn crawled deeper in the darkness, hiding herself as she threatened to scream for both men to stop fighting.

Artemis' anger for Amy not telling her earlier that she knew Jaxson quickly diminished at her words, though she wasn't convinced it had been a coincidence that Jaxson had come in the day after she escaped. Jaxson had never done anything for out of conviction, but rather for his own gain. Causing her to believe that his nature was one that could not be trusted. "I'm not so sure." Artemis smiled softly before leaving to care for the couple as they were finishing.
Amy waited impatiently, pacing the kitchen while she waited for Artemis to return. Whatever experience Artemis may of had with Jaxson, Amy now wanted to know. He had come, they both knew him, and things needed to be set straight.

(Jabba, no one is open right now.)

Artemis returned with a few dishes as the bell announced the couples departure. Noticing Amy's eagerness to see her, she immediately avoided her by piling the dishes in the sink. Whatever Amy had to say to her, Artemis was sure it wasn't what she wanted to hear.

Amy went to her side so that she couldn't be avoided. "You were imprisoned a week or two, right?" She asked.

Vanessa pulled the ring out from the bottle of jewelry cleaner and dried it off gently. She turned it over in her hand for a moment, looking at it but not seeing, before slipping it back on her ring finger where it had remained for the past eight years. She put the bottle away then turned to the next thing on her itinerary: Jaxson. No matter how simply she had brushed it away the previous night, it couldn't just be dropped. Sooner or later someone besides her would figure out what happened and there would be serious consequences. Until then, however, she intended to do her best to cover for him, making sure no one saw the results of the blood tests among other things she had discovered. And if it weren't for him leaving the apartment, that could be as hard as it got. But he was out, she knew, and she also knew where. Vanessa scoffed as she thought about how he had acted when she found the address. Of course, he didn't know she had found it or that she knew something was up when he came home from the store that day. She wasn't going to be angry with him, she told herself. It was partially—okay, mainly—her fault that everything had turned out this way, but she felt some secrets couldn't be divulged, even to the most trustworthy.

"A week, yes..." Artemis replied slowly, knowing that wasn't the only question Amy would ask her. She began to wash the small amount of dishes placed in the sink.

"And what opinion could you of formed in that little time?" Amy demanded gently. After all that had happened, she wasn't sure why she even bothered defending him, but she was. Even if they had forgotten her, she felt the family like ties too much still to simply let Artemis only know a week's worth of knowing then where she was the prisoner.

Artemis couldn't help glare at Amy, she didn't know anything about her to scold her in that way. "I don't have much respect for a man who's only conviction for saving a dying women is to drain her of any information of his enemy." Artemis lied, she may have only known Jaxson for a week, but the reason for her anger against him went much farther back.
