"Yeah," Artemis said turning to see Peter and a few other customers who were still eating. "Things are beginning to settle down."
"They usually do about this time," Amy said, looking up at the clock. "Then we have a couple hours to prepare for the lunch crowd," she chuckled.

"Oh, no." Artemis laughed sarcasticlly before leaving to gather the dishes.
Amy watched her from the kitchen, not in the creepy sort at all but just to make sure her guest was doing okay. She looked to be well enough, albeit quiet, especially after yesterday's conversation. It worried Amy a little bit. She had dealt with several people, namely contenders, who came out of similar situations and generally they wanted to talk to ease their mind. Artemis seemed to be contradictory to this fact.

Jaxson checked his watch as he turned onto a side street close to the coffee shop. It was nearly the same time he had come yesterday. He fretted with his coat collar after dismounting and checked his watch once more out of nervous habit. Maybe she had forgotten, or she didn't want to see him, or she just didn't care. He tortured himself a minute with these thoughts before stepping out onto the sidewalk and headed towards the door.

Artemis took several loads of dishes to the kitchen before returning to the main room. Using a wet wash cloth she began to wipe the tables in an orderly fashion, so that she would not forget which ones she had, or hadn't cleaned.

Simeon said "I...don't know. I mean, we can try keep on driving away from here, but our limited money won't get us far. I suggest we stay here for a few more hours, then leave."

Brooklyn became silent as she thought over possible ways they could make a small amount of money in a short period of time.

With the crowd being so thin now, Amy took a minute to hurry upstairs and get some mugs she had left from yesterday's coffee. "I'll be back in a min!" She called to Artemis as she left.

Jaxson stopped at the window and glanced in. There was the girl he had seen yesterday, the one he felt he knew yet she denied completely. There were a few people at tables, but there was no Amy. He watched a couple get up and leave before deciding to just go in and hope for the best. As the door was falling closed after the couple, he quickly caught it and entered slowly.

Simeon said solemnly "I could sell my car, and get a cheaper one." He could also resolve to theft, but that wasn't a great idea.

Brooklyn thought that was a good idea, but didn't express it. "I would feel awful if you did that." She explained genuinely.
