:( my chicken is messed up!! I don't know what happened but she has been missing for a few days and finally tonight we found her and put her with the rest of the chickens and that's when we noticed her left leg was super far forward and her right leg was super far back like she's doing the splits! And we can't figure out why :( she won't stand up although she seems pretty happy like she's flapping her wings and skooting to get around but I'm worried! I picked her up and I could move her legs like a regular healthy hen and she was fine with it.

I don't know what's the matter! Poor chicken.

We got three new chicks!! Here's a picture of my favorite, a barred rock named Sherlock!

She's so sweet; if I put my hand down into their box, she'll immediately jump up onto it :) I love my new babies!

It sounds like she may have Mareks disease. You'll definitely want to separate her from the rest of your flock, since that disease is extremely contagious. Here's a thread I found about a hen with the same symptoms: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/688556/my-chicken-is-doing-the-splits
