"The dungeon?" Ryker was impressed with the story. An elf in the dungeon was quite exciting "What are they going to do with him? Is the king gonna keep him? Is he dangerous? Should we be worried?"

Hearing a door open, Maurelle sent a servant to fetch the king if it was him

King Arkned followed the servant and smiled when he saw Maurelle. He was in a better, less worried mood at the moment. "What is it you need, Maurelle?" He asked her curiously.

(Sorry, Been really busy lately) The Elf looked the king in the eye, and said in a high clear voice. " We have also lost many men to your attacks, But we can live in peace again Your Majesty." He said. "It all rests in your decision, I leave you to make the choice." Then he fell silent.

"How in the world do I know that this isn't some trap to take over our kingdom? Besides, does King Arkned know about your plan? I doubt he'd allow this to happen unless he really is the dull fool we all think him to be." The king said. He was getting angry, was this all the waste of time he thought it'd be? This prince could just be a distraction King Arkned sent so he would be able to prepare for another war while the fairy king was distracted listening to a young peasant.

Princess Violet, Heard the whole talk. Now she pleaded with the king."Dad, I can go, Please let me! I believe what this Elf says, and if your worried, you can send Odette with me. Please?"

"The elves are our enemy, Violet. If you befriend the enemy, you'll be slain in the end. I would not let you, a future queen, go with our enemy! You have a young mind, but you must see the world as it is; a war zone.
You must know who you can trust, and that's not a heart's decision, for our hearts can blur out the facts, you trust someone who has proven their trustworthy. He is an elf who has crossed our borders, it could be very likely that he wants to kill us all, or maybe he does want to end this war, but how do you know?" He told her.

Harrington turned from the Elf to his father, then the Violet. He wasn't sure what to say to any of them, then finally settled on "We could send a spy. They could watch the elves and see what they say behind our backs"

Maurelle smiled and rose to greet Arkned. "Come, rest at least for a few minutes. The servants have prepared a hot drink for you," she replied.

Odette grinned. "I don't know. He looks harmless enough."

King Princeps thought about that, then nodded and said, "Yes, we'll do that. We won't come to a decision of if we should agree with the elf or not until then."

King Arkned smiled at the gesture and sat down. He did need to rest, he wouldn't do well in battle if he was stressed, tired, and overworked. He drank some of the cider, "Thank you, Maurelle." He said thankfully to her.

"Good" Ryker grinned "I don't like elves very much" He frowned.
--
"Could I be the spy?" Harrington asked hopefully. He didn't get much excitement, and was hopeful King Princeps would agree.
