I took lessons and at one time could play the guitar by note if someone else tuned it. I am tone deaf and finally gave up. Now the missing finger part would also present a problem.

I've seen some really committed guitar players get acrylic nails to play...I can't even maintain those so I don't suggest it.

Wrong hand. The problem would be holding the strings down.
