Hi,

This bird (Poppet) is supposed to be a purebred CCL, I may be wrong, however, I have just found a random light brown egg that I think may belong to her. Therefore, I was hoping you guys could give me some opinions on what you think of her from sight? Thanks to anyone that replies ❀️

I don't think the egg was hers.
She does look like a legbar. Even if she was 1/2 legbar she would lay a blue or green egg.
This is what I thought. Am I right that she looks too much like a legbar to have zero legbar and if she had any legbar, she could only lay blue or green? The only thing I noticed was that her comb is not as floppy as other legbars I have had, however it does flop a little, thank you xx

It's possible it's not hers.

On the other hand, I had 2 that looked just like her, ordered from Ideal hatchery and were *supposed* to be Welbar.. but developed that crest and the white earlobes.. One of them layed greenish and the other one laid a light brown (tan) colored egg.

Being half Legbar does not guarantee blue or green eggs since not all Legbar are homozygous for the blue egg gene even though they're supposed to be.. according to my current understanding. Please note the following link that indicates (in paragraph 3 of breed history) GFF is only guaranteeing homozygotes in their exhibition line and indicate that through genetic testing they have identified and eliminated from their breeding stock of the exhibition line those that were not.

One way or another, congrats on your new layer!

ETA: link I forgot to include..
