Silkie with possible faverolle ancestry. What breed is she?
Haha Emma you should see their Daddy's comb. WEIRDEST comb I've EVER seen. Let me look for a pic...If by “Regular” you mean single. Then yes.
And silkies should actually have walnut comb which are a mix of pea and rose. Though silkies with single have been seen more and more.
Pea and Rose are dominant which would cover up the single in a first gen cross and any chicks they had effect on.
Sulky’s chicks are really a mix of mixes, but just because it has Legbar wouldn’t cause comb growth. That would happen anyways no matter the breed.
Maybe @THEChIcKeNwhisperer354 means because silkies develop their combs slower? That's what I thought they mean anyway...All breeds grow combs....?

Oh wow! He’s a cutie. Are you sure he was pure silkie?
No, he accounts for the polish in both chicks too. He's a Polish silkie X. I'm interested in seeing the chicks combs now!Oh wow! He’s a cutie. Are you sure he was pure silkie?
Yes that is what I meant. Most of my silkys combs grow slower then my other breeds.Maybe @THEChIcKeNwhisperer354 means because silkies develop their combs slower? That's what I thought they mean anyway...
Yeah, Ok, I get that.Yes that is what I meant. Most of my silkys combs grow slower then my other breeds.
BLOB COMB!!! Aka bad quality walnut comb! I've got a couple of roosters like that! Combs like that seem fairly resistant to frostbite.
