I am legally blind but see more than others

Back in the day I hired a handicapped kid he was 'classified' : fetal alcohol syndrome, semi dwarf, legally blind, limited intellect. One day walking the hall after we passed a rather pretty girl he said to me, "Wow, George, she is really pretty." I said, "But you couldn't see her." He replied, "I can smell 'em." What a great person he turned out to be - He also proved to be far from 'limited intellect'.

Some I can't respond to without getting in trouble. There's a fine line between ignorance and abuse, and I will always advocate for the animals.

Well said, Sour. I posted the response from the Pheasant forum yesterday, the member that posted that 'stupid reply' has an Educator badge, under a different user name...he was the reason I joined BYC in the first place! I couldn't 'correct' his bad advice without joining. Some people shouldn't give advice, IMHO! That's the silliest advice I've seen....how would a mealworm survive being eat'en, only to eat it's way out of the crop of a bird? As Dr. Spok said, "that's not logical"!
