UPDATE:

It was a cool night, 64°F, didn't know if the chicks would survive or not? They did and all are doing well.

@007Sean is it normal for the male to assist in caring for the chicks ? Is the hen still setting on more eggs ?

I haven't seen the hen? Usually both raise the young. I have seen the male sitting on the nest before...so that's not that uncommon. I'm afraid if I start walking around in that thick brush, I'll step on and crush one or more of the chicks, so I haven't looked too hard for her!
Also, I think the hen doesn't have normal hen color in her plumage.
Just taking this day by day!
