Yep, and buried in the ground to ferment. Also, N.Korea.
My dad was in the Korean War, said he tried it, wasn't impressed. According to his 'story', he had gone out on patrol (read here a hunting trip) for pheasants. He collected quite a few pheasants and had a local mamasan cook'em up....along with the Kimchi. :sick
