I was looking at ocellated Turkeys and Vulturine Guinea Fowl... Both require Temperature controlled environments Here.... Even in San Diego we go below 50 quite often in the winter especially at night.

With the San Diego zoo so living large here.... There are several breeders of exotics... From Flamingos to those African Cranes with the top knots. My feed store carries Mazuri Flamingo chow through Bear chow.....
We have Naturalized flock of Parrots as well that range from the coast as far inland as El Cajon. There is enough fruiting trees and Palms to feed them year round... A product of the Smuggling trade. They are wild caught and brought as far as the border and escape... Then any Tame escapees join in and the wild ones teach em how to survive.

Mostly Yellow Headed Amazons... But I have seen MaCaws both Green and Red. They make boisterous infiltrations to the neighborhoods....
