Whenever someone is miserable I ask, "Suppose God has it set up that where you are emotionally when you die is how you are going to spend eternity ? You are going to be eternally miserable." That generally generates either laughter or a 'screw' you depending upon how they want to spend eternity. The Princess and I choose laughter over tears whenever possible.

Couldn't agree more.
When given the choice to laugh or cry. . might as well laugh.
Crying never gave me anything but a head ache anyway.
BUT if I can find something to laugh about every day. . my life is just better.
And laughter is contagious. . so the people around you are happier as well.
I sometimes have an issue with inappropriate laughter. . this can be bad at times.
But if I can get someone else to see the humor in whatever stressful situation is at hand. .. It is well worth the embarrassment.
