When my son was a teen I had a beagle that prolapsed his penis. I was unable to get the swelling down with sugar so enlisted son to help. He held the dog while I cut his sheath enough that the penis would retract. Son asked, "Why did that happen?" I told him "Remember what I've been telling you about self abuse." He walked away shaking his head and muttering, "I should have known better."
