Ditto Trim try to always speak the truth has been my goal since I was a kid
and how I was raised... A lie got a good lick in with a switch or Dads belt

Long, long ago Daddy said, "Boy, you better tell the truth because you are not smart enough to be a good liar." Apparently not everybody's Daddy has told them that.

Okay maybe not an angel, but I was a pretty good kid! I just wanted to keep every creature that ran, flew, slithered, or swam across the earth as a pet. My mother was a saint for putting up with all my critters
.....
Look who's finally out of Broody Jail (Mr. Overo calls it Chickenauschwitz)! Just in time for another to be put behind bars. 😆

Been juggling chickens lately like it's my day job. Moving one hen/pullet from jail to run and swapping with another then back again. Mr. Overo told me it looks like I'm running a chicken correctional facility. He calls me the CO. :lau

I was the same way, only I’m not sure if my mom “put up with” my harboring of living creatures or if was more she didn’t know!

I lived in Hudson, MA in the 3rd and 4th grades. There, more so than anywhere else I lived, there seemed to be an abundance of frogs and salamanders. Any little body of water had frog eggs and any rock you turned over had a ‘mud puppy’ or two under it. I remember having my own little terrarium in the back yard. It was a little, blue swimming pool that I put dirt and planted stuff in and then put frogs, frog eggs, salamanders, turtles, anything that I thought would like it in there. Once the green frogs got big enough to jump, they were gone. There seemed to be an abundance of those ‘water’ frogs there. Not many of the toads I was used to from Georgia. I was an only child, tomboy and this is what I loved.

Looking back, I still think I would choose that ‘dirty’ entertainment over the technological entertainment of today. Let’s just say this, if I come in not needing a shower in the evening something must be wrong.:lau
