Morning George no Sin here but waking BF 5 am heard this noise like a alarm drove me batty like a solid hour woke the better half hey what is the noise..
Damn little ceiling fan in the bedroom seems to have a problem it was making the noise

Penny reminds me of when something was "chirping" incessantly. We thought the smoke alarm. My brother in law got on a step ladder and smacked it with a hammer. We kept hearing chirping. He threw it to the ground, stomped it into pieces and still chirping. His older daughter told him it was our CO detector chirping. Duh!!

Of course my brother in law didn't offer to replace a perfectly good smoke alarm. Thankfully my son went out and got a replacement. smh
