Dudettes... What's the deal with the natural flavor?
This is new to me. Everything has it on it..almost every thing.
It's not necessarily the flavors, it's the processing and the base they use, such as propylene glycol. If it's actually a "natural" flavor it will say it's sourced from the exact item, i.e. orange flavor from oranges.

Ok. I've read a few things about it and I'm not going to worry too much about my yogurt containing a natural flavor for now.

I need to dig a little more.

I still use sugar free propel packets with natural flavors. I think it's very product dependant on what you should be concerned about. Some are worse than others. Preservatives are definitely something to be more concerned about.

New to me too but apparently it is not actually natural. Just has to be based from something natural like a plant or animal or whatever but then they can add up to like 100 chemicals to it if they want and still call it natural and supposedly some say it causes inflammation and health issues and stuff but idk. Seems to me like everything is bad these days and it’s impossible to avoid everything 😭 watch the 60 Minutes video. It was really interesting. The FlavCity one someone else linked was as well
Don't stress about these natural flavor stuffs. You have much more important things to stress about.

Yeah that’s a good point. I don’t think I’m gonna worry too much about it especially since it’s usually like the last ingredient anyway so not very much in it anyway. Although some have said they got like way healthier after cutting it so idk lol I feel like it would almost be good because I’ve been wanting to go less processed foods and more whole/real foods anyway but since that’s kinda difficult to do fully 100% I think I’m not gonna worry for now

Freaky Frankie! đŸ€šI like saying this in my head when I say your name.

Is this the machine you use?

I almost broke down and bought one for the mini for Christmas but then I looked at this crap that goes into them and changed my mind.View attachment 2952698

The Acesulfame Potassium is an artificial sweetener. It and Sucralose are alcohols of sugar.

If you just focus on getting the bulk of your diet from whole foods that will make you feel loads better, and pretty quickly too! It will also save you a ton of money. I always hear people say eating healthy is expensive, I've never understood that. As soon as I start adding packaged food my bill jumps. I grow and raise about 50% of our diet, but I still buy plenty of produce. I buy rolled oats and make granola, it costs me like 1.50 to make verses $4 for premade. It took me years of little changes to get to this point, but I think it's definitely worth the effort. You can pay with your time or your money. It's about priorities, and enjoying it too. I don't make granola because I'm frugal, I do it because I like to.

Yeah, I never really understood that either especially with how expensive McDonald’s and crap is now. It adds up really fast so I feel like it’s definitely cheaper to just make your own stuff or even buying produce is pretty cheap comparatively. Meat adds up but if you look for deals or whatever it’s not too bad. Like we bought several turkeys right after Thanksgiving for I think like 37 cents a pound or something like that. Basically like $6-$7 instead of $50 and it made soooo many meals. That’s cheaper than one fast food meal and makes way more food hah throw in some vegetables or something for maybe like a few dollars each and it’s still way cheaper. Even the dollar stores have some pretty decent stuff.

Exactly. Just making the switch from restaurant or fast food to groceries is a huge leap. You know what's crazy? I haven't eaten at McDonald's for 17 years and I STILL crave Big Macs and the McRib. I went so far as to try and replicate the McRib, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't the same. They're using food science against us!
