So this is far in the future, but I'm moving soonish (anywhere from 6 months to 3 years from now), likely to Michigan and want desperately to do a garden to try and at least have more fresh plant material in my diet at least for part of the year.


Also does a 20 minute walk mostly vertical and building a chicken shelf count as extra?

It counts as extra if it is something that is not part of your normal daily routine and it raises your heart rate.

If it is activity that you don't normally do, yes it is extra. The trouble with Extra is that if you keep doing the same for extra it becomes the norm and you then need to add something else extra.

It's a vicious cycle.

Yes! I can walk 10,000 plus steps a day and get 30 plus minutes of exercise in each day but that's not extra for me...
That's completely normal.
I have to do extra in a different way like lift weights go for a 30 minute run which will never happen.

Don't say never! My mom used to hate running and now she runs on the treadmill and she's older than you. 😇

I have a son older than you and I'm still not going to get on the treadmill to run.
I wore high heels way too much when I was a tween and my knees are no bueno for running.
