We used to do that as a Muay Thai conditioning excercise, but someone would be holding your calves and sitting on your feet. It was one of my favorites, done in a group of 4. Person doing the excercise, foot holder, a person standing behind the foot holder with a body shield (foam pad for kicking and punching), and a person kneeling beside the one excercising. You do a sit up and continue to standing where you punch the body shield. Back down to do another rep, but when you're flat on your back the person beside you bounces the medicine ball off your abs just before you start upwards again. 😁
