I'm sorry, I don't really know anything about rabbits. To me it looks like a wild rabbit, you can call a vet to see if they can point you to a wildlife rescue in your area.

Oh no! You did such a great job rescuing him, and he got to be warm and peaceful in his final moments. Thanks for you help everyone, but unfortunately the bunny died. I did all I could but there wasn't much hope. I didn't have to heart to kill him myself but he was really struggling to breath and he died peacefully in his sleep
I’m so sorry but I’m glad you tried to save it. I admit I would not have the heart to take It’s life eitherThanks for you help everyone, but unfortunately the bunny died. If the rabbit is still alive, take it to a vet, we have a vet around here that takes wild animals for free and takes care of them. Call around for vets that will take the wild rabbit. Now, if you can't immediately get to a vet, make sure it is comfortable, not much stimulation, stress can really wear on a rabbit, and the eye problem could be conjunctivitis. Tell me, does it have red eyes, are they inflamed? It could also be E.cuniculi, or an abcess, which is what one of my rabbits had, was an abscess, but it was removed. Does the rabbit have discharge anywhere else? Are they weak or anorexic? We found and injured bunny in our yard. It has two wounds and looks like it got attacked. It looked like it was dying so we put it in a box of bedding and some dandelion leaves. It is crying a obviously in a lot of pain. We assumed it would die pretty quick but it's still alive. It have been moving a little more and tried to eat ( it was too weak). It had white puss like stuff coming out of its eye but that has stopped. It won't drink water out of a bowl either. Any suggestions of what to do? We think it will die and we tried to provied a dry, warm spot for it, but if you have any ideas on how to help, we would appreciate it.
I'm sorry I didn't read this, so disregard the other post I made. Very commendable of you to take care of it, and I totally understand, I couldn't kill it either, it would be to terrible for me to do. I love rabbits so much, and they are such amazing animals. Good job trying, you made it comfortable in it's last few hours of living. Thanks for you help everyone, but unfortunately the bunny died. I did all I could but there wasn't much hope.
