Great pictures! Was this rooster sck? I ask because the intestines look really diseased to me.

Simnel seemed perfectly fine from what I could tell -- crowing, mating, foraging, and all that perfectly fine. A hawk killed him.
Maybe his intestines were all full of stuff. I know that his cecas had stuff in them. The gizzard had grass in it.
