I am SO incredibly happy i started this thread so i can share my love for cochins also instead of just getting six chicks in febuary the og 6 will be salmon favorelle, blue cochin, blue laced red wyandotte, french black copper maran, ameraucana and naked neck. we are also getting more cochins silver laced, black and partridge plus a dark brahma. im not sure if i should get 2 of each breed in case some end up dying as chicks

It couldn't hurt. You don't want to just expect it, but the sad reality is that losses often occur. Unfortunately, you know that all too well.
