My almost 2 year old speckled Sussex Sugar has a swollen face on one side. What could the cause of this be? Should I be concerned? She seems to be acting normal. Pics of both sides of her face below.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's upper respiratory, probably mycoplasm. The facial swelling is the sinus cavity being swollen with mucus... exactly like when your nose gets stuffy when you have upper respiratory illness.

Vet RX used as directed on comb, wattles, under wing, inside the beak and in water, isolate her in warm sheltered place to prevent spreading, and listen closely for wheezing, gurgling. If she develops wheezing or gurgling then she immediately needs antibiotics. You can treat/ administer antibiotic without a vet. If you need assistance doing so, you can ask here. Best of luck.

Thanks! The one thing is I’m not sure if it’s that serious. We have a lot of wasps out and there is a little bump that could be a sting. But then again what do I know.
