Chick #1 on the left, chick #2 on the right

My chicks are a week old today I was very surprised to get some chipmunk chicks from this hatch ( about half our chipmunk and the other half are black) is there anyway they could be sex linked, both parents are black? ( The maternal grandmother is red/?)

They are much too young to guess. Post pictures when they are 6-8 weeks.
I can sex a chick A lot sooner than six weeks. I guess my only question is about the chipmunk pattern, I’ve never bred any chipmunk chicks before. I know the pattern of a dark chipmunk typically means female, and liter being male, but seeing as these are mixed breed I don’t know if that affects anything or not. With my BCM I can typically sexing them before a month. I guess I’m just trying to get some chipmunks experts to chime in.

Ditto Dat^^^
and no not sexlinked....need solid colored male over barred female.
I know the sex link regarding solid male X bard female but there’s other type of sex linked like the sex linked characteristic of the rapid-feathering, or fast-feathering, gene.
My chicks are definitely developing feathers at different rates and different shapes, from day one. I guess the thing I want to know is the difference between the wings

Certain breeds like Orpingtons and cochins can often be sexed by wing growth. I don't believe EE nor marans can be. Breeds like welsummer can be sexed by their stripes, yours cannot. I generally can tell my male chicks sooner in person than 6 weeks too, but by photos it's best to wait until 6 weeks as some traits can't be seen by a picture.

Well now wait... would you say that is a barred pattern on those chicks? if that is the father (not barred) then they got that from mom making them boys. All the black would be girls. But if that is mom- she looks pencilled? But then you say 3/4 BCM so I’m curious. Roo is 100% pure BCM and mom is 50? So her mother was the BCM and dad was EE? And now my head hurts from thinking genetics lol!

Updated pics?
