Hello and thanks for looking!
I'm new to raising chickens and had the opportunity to pick out a few black copper Maran chicks from a coworker. Unfortunately, I decided to pick the prettiest birds and 2 of them turned out to be roosters.
I live in the city limits of Boise, Idaho, and am not all allowed to keep any roosters. It breaks my heart to have to part with them, but I am hoping someone will be able to give these birds a loving home.
Rooster #1 is 100% black copper Maran (from what we've been told). He is a gorgeous bird with beautiful green tail feathers that almost sparkle in the sun and he is incredibly sweet. Loves being pet and he's not very noisy at all.
Rooster #2 we suspect to be part black copper Maran and maybe Rhode Island Red (from what a gal at a hatchery told us). He's very pretty as well, but a little noisier.
Anyway, I've had to separate the two from the rest of my birds (we had an opportunity to get more hens and took it- the roosters were just causing too much anxiety for the new birds), and I'm sad to have to confine them to a smaller area. I just want someone to take them and give them a good home.
This would be an excellent opportunity for someone in the area to raise black copper Maran chicks.
Once again, thanks for looking, and the roosters anxiously await your reply!
