I just had one hen die the other day. Now I have my polish acting like this… she hasn’t laid eggs yet. Shes only 4 months old. Didn’t leave the coop this morning. Acting really slow and not moving around much. Doesn’t wanna eat or drink.
Also been dealing with mites. Still trying to get rid of them.

I'm sorry to hear about your hen. Do you know why she died? Was she older, had she been sick for a while or was she young like this Pullet?

Your Pullet - Can she see? She may need a haircut.

You're dealing with mites, how are you treating those? Does she have mites on her now?

What's the poop like? Photos?

Mites can weaken a bird if there's a heavy infestation. Getting rid of those would help.

I'd work on getting some fluids into her, give her sugar water or electrolytes. Once drinking, then offer wet mushy feed.

Has she been dewormed or treated for Coccidiosis?

Permethrin garden dust (Prozap or Gardstar brand) from feed stores is very good to treat mites. Fill a sock and dust her all over every 7 days until they are gone.

Sorry your pullet is unwell.

It's difficult to tell from the photos, but her crop looks like it might be inflated.. which should not be the case if she's not eating or drinking.. but could be a cause of those symptoms if it's somehow gotten blocked or become sour. When you feel it, is it flat and empty, full and hard, or full and squishy?

I hope she recovers quickly! :fl
