1 day old chick sleeping standing up?

This chick is one day old and it sleeps standing up. It has had splayed legs. Is this okay for a chick?
 
Birds on alert and under stress often sleep standing up.

Are you treating the spraddle leg? You need to be aggressive in treatment very young to repair this defect.
 
Yea I used a brace made out of tape and now the chick is walking around with no difficulty.
