1 duck, should i pluck?

Have a young muscovy that I got from my cousin that I plan to process for Christmas. I've been asking a few people and their split half n half on plucking and scalding. I'm only doing the one duck and maybe a rooster. Plan on roasting him, idk if that helps. This will be my first, but I know how to do it.

I pluck our ducks. I scald at 155 degrees and add more soap to the water than for the chickens. Just remember the feathers on a duck are denser so really swish them well in the scald water. Enjoy.
