In all my years of having chickens I've never seen an egg like this, we're assuming it's from our one Ameraucana hen who only lays blue eggs but don't know for sure, she's never laid a brown egg before and we don't have any other blue egg laying hen/s at this time. This egg is brown and then partially wrapped in a blue egg shell. No other shell pieces around. The outer eggshell in the pix doesn't look blue but it is, should've taken the pix outside in natural light but that doesn't really matter.
