1 hen left in flock- how to manage

Also, let's say she does great alone all winter and is back to her old self, would it be terrible for me to reconsider and just keep (and spoil) her alone? I've read so many conflicting things about having a single hen.
Conflicting info is par for the course...some is misinformation but all birds, people, and situations are different.
Some birds do well alone and some do not,
it'll be up to you to decide based on your observations.

It's been two days since we lost Belina, and Ginger is not herself. She's not eating much(but she is eating and drinking some) her tail was down this morning and she's been sleeping in odd places- the nesting box last night and tonight on the coop floor. I've read she might still be a little frightened since the hawk attack, plus I'm sure she's missing Belina... even if I do get her a friend or two, I obviously have the whole intergration period so it wouldn't be a quick fix by any means. Is she going to be okay in the meantime? Is it ok that she's sleeping in random places? Besides a mirror and treats, any recommendations for enrichment or something to brighten her day a little? Maybe I just need to give her some time to recover from everything. I just wish I could be sure she's going to be ok and make it though this tough time.
