Hello everybody. I have 11 chicks that are all about a month old. I got them all from tractor supply. I have some white ones, black pullets, red pullets, and what I think are americaunas. One of e red pullets is in terrible shape. I have them in a nice coop type thing in my basement with a heat lamp, not over the entire thing though, and they were all fine. I went down to check on them and hold them, and noticed that that red pullet was lying there. It would move, and then fall to one side and use its wing to hold it up and re adjust itself. It can walk, but after about a foot or two, it falls again. What should I do? Disease? Injured? Would I separate it? I don't want the others to get sick.

I had a cochin bantam chick that did this and acted liked she was drunk the way she flopped around, and it turned out to be a vitamin E deficiency. You can get those oil capsules and then poke a hole in it and pour it in their mouth. It may be something else but it doesn't hurt to try it!
