2 broody hens, sitting on 11 eggs for a week, I just candled and only 1 is developing!
Do I kill the single egg? I know a single chick doesn't do well. So is it best to just kill it now?

I had a similar thing, though in an incubator. I ended up getting day olds from elsewhere on hatching day, so that the original chick was never alone.

You probably could introduce the broody hens to some day olds on the same day the 1 egg hatches? I'm only a newbie, you might want to dig around or wait for someone more experienced to chime in about how to best do this.

Thanks! That was a great idea to get your single chick some same age friends 🙂 If I can find someone with day olds available I might do that.
