1 week left till slaughter

birds are 53 days old(cx). weighed an average one and it was 6.2 lbs. they are all male too. Sunday is slaughter day. What can i do to give them one final good push till Sunday??? anything? using 25% protein right now.

25% protein sounds like a lot of "push".

As another poster said, if you'd like to try a bit of cracked corn, that'll put a bit of fat on them....also puts a bit more yellow in the skin.

i was thinking 6 lbs was on the light side. is it? they will be 60 days old when we harvest them.

This was the first year we did cornish cross. We processed 34 birds at 59 days live weight was 6-10.75 lbs. only one bird was 6 lbs the rest about 8-10. Dressed out the smallest was 3 and the biggest 7. We had an average wt. of 5.5-6. We also went through 600 lbs of feed. Not sure if any of this helps. I fed mine an 18% protein feed that I fermented the last 3 wks.
