Here is my 1wk old chick that has developed cross beak. he/she appears to eat & drink without any issues,
but most likely not as much as the others. he/she is just about half the size of the other 24. so it's apparent that there is a lack of nutritional intake. it's as if it hasn't grown a bit since the chicks arrived. i know in most cases that this condition can get worse and to the point the it's almost impossible for them to eat or drink on it's own.
still not sure how this happened.....ignore the date on the pic, my camera is on the fritz....

Yeah, your cross beak will have difficulty eating and thriving. I have a cross beak, but she was not nearly as severe at the age your bird is. Now her lower beak is quite crossed. She is able to eat pellets, but she likes the deep dish of our homemade feeder. She goes out w/the other girls to free range, but returns often to eat at the bucket. She loves yogurt when I give it to them, because she can dip her beak in to get the treat, but she does not eat seeds or other treats. You might end up having to cull your chick if it continues to advance as much as mine did, especially if yours is so severe to start. I'll try to post pictures this afternoon of the EE in question, both as a youngster and now.
