1 wk post cocci and still can't stand up

I bought some chickens & found 1 had bloody poop & became very weak shortly after I got them home.

I separated it and treated it with sulmet and also hand fed it. The sulmet got rid of the bloody diarrhea.

It is eating well and drinking well on its own now but poor thing still can't stand up - kind of vigorously flops over to the food and water.

Seems chirpy and OK otherwise.

I did notice that it has lice so will be treating it with sevin.

Any ideas how long this will last (or is permanent)? I've raised guineas but these are my first chickens. I don't even know how old it is or what kind

- just starting to get combs.

The chick may be weak from anemia caused by the lice sucking his blood. Treat for the lice and maybe add vitamins to the water to help him recover. Baby vitamins WITHOUT iron work well.
