I dont know what is wrong, sick/weak pullet

Just want to give another update since it's been a few weeks since the last one. She is still doing really good, no signs of being weak/sick, and is back to herself. She is finally back to chatting with me everytime she sees me, and following me around.

The only thing I'm concerned about at this point, and I'm not sure if I should be concerned because she has absolutely no symptoms. For the past 2 weeks or so, like clockwork, every morning almost immediately after they are let out of the coop, she will go set on the nest, on average 30-45 minutes, every single day and she has not skipped a day, but when she gets off of the nest, there is no egg.

I'm not sure if she does it because she feels like she needs to lay an egg, or if she knows that's what she is supposed to be doing. When she got sick, she was still a new egg layer and had only been laying for a couple weeks or so. When she got sick she had stopped laying.

I'm not so much concerned about getting eggs from her, more concerned about if there is another issue or if she might hurt herself trying to lay an egg. At the same time, I'm trying not to worry to much since she has absolutely no signs that anything is or could be wrong.
It sounds like she's laying internally. I have a hen doing the same thing. Internal laying could cause infection sometimes, so just have some antibiotics in hand. Once you see that she's sick, you can treat her to control the infection. My hen has infection problems form internal laying once or twice a year, and she's fine other time. I use Baytril and it works really good.

I'm glad to hear she's still doing o.k.

Hard to know why she's going to the box every day, she may have feelings like she needs to lay, or she may be Laying Internally or have some other reproductive disorder.

Since she's acting normal, active, eating/drinking, then I'd just monitor her, let her enjoy chickening.

If she is suffering from a reproductive disorder, unfortunately there's really nothing that can be done to cure it. Sometimes if a hen begins to decline, symptoms can be managed with supportive care which may include medications, and they will get better for periods of time.

If it is internal laying, is there anyway to know forsure before she gets sick/an infection? Like is there any signs to indicate whether that is what is going on? Or is it just a waiting game for her to get an infection?

If it is a reproductive disorder, will she be suffering, like in pain or just be miserable in general? Is there anyway to prevent a decline? I'm assuming the periods that she will get better, isn't long term, so if/when that happens, would it just be more humane to end any suffering that she may be enduring?

I just assumed that the reason she wasn't laying was because of her illness she had, I had read that it can take chickens weeks to months, after recovering from an illness to start laying again. I just assumed that was what was causing her not to lay, since she was sick about 2 weeks and the day that I gave her olive oil, she was in such bad shape that we were planning to end her suffering the next day, but she showed alot of improvement that day, but the day before she showed improvement, she was doing very poorly, was so weak, and it was to the point the other chickens were starting to take notice.

You should be able to tell when a hen is not feeling well and in decline.
So if she's not showing any signs of being ill does that mean she is not laying internally?

She is still doing really good, absolutely no signs of being sick/weak or anything.

This morning, after she sat on the nest, she has started going after a couple of the other chickens, holding them down and mounting them. She's 100% not a cockerel, before she was sick I saw her lay an egg, plus she is a red sexlink. Other then that, she is healthy and happy.

They can act perfectly fine for a good while if they have some type of reproductive problem going on. She could lay internally and not have any immediate symptoms.

If she's doing good, eating/drinking and active, then I'd just enjoy her.

Often mounting another hen is a demonstration of dominance.
