1 year old hen laying weird eggs

I have a 1 year old silky that lays normal eggs for a couple of days and then she'll lay an egg that is like a water balloon. This has been happening for a couple of months. Is this an illness? Is there something I can do she gets calcium.

She may not be properly absorbing the calcium. Sometimes a calcium supplement such a calcium citrate or calcium carbonate with D 3 added can straighten things out. Give up to 400mg daily until the eggs are consistently hard.
