1 year old pullet suddenly acting aggressive, why??

I have a a german spitzhauben that is a little over a year old. She always had a real nice, easy going loving personality. She was my little lap chicken. But the last 3 weeks she has become really aggressive towards my husband and me, pecking at us all the time and not letting us hold her. I dont understand the change in her. Any ideas? Nothing traumatic had happened until Sunday when one of her "trio" died. any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Huh. I don't know.

I've heard that roosters sometimes change personality at a year and become aggressive so maybe that's what's happening with your hen.
