Hi and like you, 12 yrs ago i bred 16 beautiful diffrent breeds, had them, for
7yrs. Then 5yrs ago i forgot to lock their coops. Next morning, i could not believe
what i found. A fox wiped them all out. Heartbreaking, as they were left everywhere.
He could not get back over with them. I said no more, after that. But in March my husband, and boys built a double coop, with large enclosed run. I now have 12 hens.
It is also fox proof, and further down the garden. I am so happy i decided to have
them again. I love baking, and missed my fresh eggs as well. lol Even thoiugh i said
the coop + run, are fox proof, i still make sure they are locked up, every night. I
only joined BYC myself in March. Best thing i done, i love it, if you want to know anything
day or night just ask. Someone will have an answer for you. And if they cannot, they
will know someone who will. So friendly here. I am a pensioner and some nights, i do not sleep, so on here i come. You will love it. When you find time, put some pics, of your new flock up, as we all love new pics. Good luck.
