Tucson , Arizona . Yesterday I found my over a year old buff on the floor of chicken coop not able to walk. Picked her up and brought her inside. She is alert, was interested in yogurt and food , plus water, but not able to walk and when I pick her up her wings kind of fall out to side . On floor she kind of flops to side. She expelled a couple disgusting green, diarrhea poops yesterday and a more solid stinky one today. Seems to be eating less and water but still alert. Have been giving her poultry cell, nutridrench poultry , strike and fresh water / food. She laid an egg this morning too.
Two weeks ago I lost my oldest hen - she was spitting up fluids and eventually really didn’t move much. I had another sick Easter egger who I brought in and treated and she’s fine. She had a dirty vent with white discharge. I treated the entire flock with Corid.
Not sure next steps …. I was hoping she’d be up and walking now.
My flock is 20+ chickens, 5 turkeys and goats. They free range during the day and are locked up in a safe run/coop at night. She usually roosts within the run.
