I have 3 (11 week old) Sold as Ameraucana. I have 1 (10 wk old) Buff Orp, and 2 (10 wk old) White Leghorn chicks. I bought them all from the feed store except the Ameraucana.I have been looking at photos and researching a lot trying to figure out if they are hens or roos. Any help would be great.

All the ones below are of two different chicks, both leghorns. They have names but they interchange since I can't tell them apart. H ave no idea if they are roos or hens

My chicks are just a little older than yours. However the roosters started crowing around 8-10 weeks. I found out the hard way that some of my alleged pullets were actually cockerels. My buffs are pullets & their combs are alot smaller. So I think Harriet is a Harry, Big Bird is a rooster& if Chicken Hawks comb is small than Big Birds then it's a she. My Egger pullets have small combs & my two surprise roo's have larger pea combs & tail feathers. Males have brown or red on their wings in a splash or hodge podge pattern while females are a distinct pattern.... Which Chicken Hawk has. Good luck:)

I have a Buff Orpington pullet. She is about 9-10 weeks old and has little to none in the way of wadles or a comb. Your Harriet has a big comb for a pullet.

but it is such a guessing game.
