10.5 inches of rain in one afternoon, Eastern NC

Yahoooooooooooo. They recorded 10.5 inches of rain this afternoon in Havelock, NC. about 30 minutes away from us. Our rain gauge only goes to 6 inches and it was full.

We could use a little more, but the hay is in the fields still so let's hold off on it for a few days.
I used to live in Eastern NC and remember a couple of toad stranglers.

I am in South Eastern NC and my rain gauge is reading 1 inch, which I will take!!!!

Y'all are getting the same system that stalled over us for 3 days!!!!!!!! We didn't get but like 2-3 inches but some southern parts of the state got 7+.

It's suppose to rain for the next few days here. Not sure how much is rained, but it did rain all day. I would much rather have it rain than be 100!!!!

they are calling for more today, the ducks and geese were having a ball. the chickens go in the houses, the turkeys and peafowl look like drownded rats. They give you that pitiful look when a nice dry house is 10 feet away. lol

It was funny, on the news they closed Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station because of the roads flooding and later they were letting them go off base one bldg at a time - Don't you just know there was some real happy people there.

I saw on the news today that TD2 looks like it's falling apart. Yaaaaaaaaaay I hope so
