My Red boy and the buff girls are producing a very rich cinnamon color to dark buff Silkies. I am very happy with the offspring from this mix. They have had very dark skin, combs and eyes. There is still dark feathering in the tail in the males but not to bad. I have had quite a few pullets that are clear or with a tiny dusting on tail tips.
I have Recently won Best Variety and Reserve Breed with two of the Pullets in this pen. The older hens have been consistent winners when shown as well.
