Hello again,
One of my 10 day old ducklings just recently started keeping her eyes closed. (In the last three days) She will open a little, just a sliver, look around and close them again. She’s eating and drinking just not as much as her sisters. She also isnt stretching out. Her sisters will stretch and peak over the edge of the cardboard, or reach for my hand. She won’t. She climbs on to my hand, and walks around just fine. She hangs out under the light a lot more than her sisters also. Usually standing. She lays down a little bit through the night but that’s it. She kinda does a head nod too, almost as if she saying “yes” .. if that makes sense? Not often. Just something I notice her sisters aren’t doing. Temp of the hot end of brooder is 77-82 degrees. Any ideas on why she’s doing this? Thank you!
In the picture she’s actually laying down. Which doesn’t happen often.

I had one those ducklings last year, same behavior as you describe. She fell more and more behind the others and after a cold snap she died. Your duckling may have an internal infection or parasites or she is just a straggler. If you could post a picture of her poop, maybe @casportpony can have a look at that.
I would try to get more vitamins into the little one, Vitamin C increases appetite and let her drink some dextrose-water.

I have four of them together. I notice every once in a while I see poop that’s pretty much water so I would assume it hers but don’t know for sure. I was thinking of going to the local feed store and getting some vitamins just not sure what’s best for her. He feedbhas limestone in it. Isntt that suppose to help with parasites?

Perfect. That’s the one I was looking at. Will it say the amount to give her?
Most of us just give a drop of two orally.

Unfortunately, I do not. Any other suggestions on how to keep her warm
Do you have a good quality sleeping bag and a heating pad?
