Hey all, my husband had a cherry tomato speared on a “brush pick”, a plastic toothpick approximately 2” long, dropped it, and our Easter Egger ate it.

The brush tip (bottom of photo) is pretty bendy, but the rest is not, and the other end is very pointy.

Will this somehow pass through her system? Is there anything I can do? I think there’s a vet who treats chickens somewhere around here, but I don’t know anything about them. 😭

1) are you sure she ate it? Like the whole thing?
2) I have seen lots of threads about chickens swallowing earrings and from what I recall they all survive. Finding the earring is a different story 🤣
3) I wouldn’t worry. But I am a very low-stress chicken keeper so see what others say. Maybe I haven’t thought it through

If she ate that you need to take her to a vet.
