10 Ringnecks

I have 10 ringneck chicks, about 2 weeks old now and doing well in the brooder. They are a lot more skittish than chickens. WOW!

At what point in time do they start to show rooster/hen coloring?

The little suckers can fly at an amazingly young age.

I have three from my first attempt at incubating, and at 6 weeks one is starting to show some color in the shoulder area. I had one at two weeks fly out of the brooder and end up in the sump hole, and drown.

I have already had them fly out of the brooder. Amazing how quickly they can do that.
