I came up from Miami. I live out in Caswell about 25 miles north of Willow and absolutly love it here, you are sssooooooooooo lucky to have been raised here, I can only imagine when it was still "the last frontier" I call it now, "where's the next subdivision" I just can't believe the GATED subdivisions out here, why move out here and have to have a key to get into the gate to get to your area? Too citified for me. Those kind of people should stay in ANCH................. sorry for the rambling. In the 11 yrs I've been here, too many changes. Where I am, the power ends at the next cornir, and the road goes on for about 2 1/2 miles. I've had power for 6 yrs now, and a well for the past 5.
How far up the Glenn are you?? I sold a sled dog to a guy out by Chickaloon a couple of years ago, Dan Davies, had just come up from Colorado and was building out thata was.
I did end up losing one today, it was forever inside and the membrane look really dry so I helped, there were sores from where it ripped the skin when the baby freed itself. Lived for about 5 hrs, my friend in Wasillyville told me I should have soaked it with warm water to loosen that up, I'll know the next time. I've got 24 and leaving the incubator on till Sat.
ANYWAY.....................................................I live alone with my critters so sometimes I get on a roll.............................

Yeah, I had one like that and the warm water really worked.
We actually lived in the 'bush" on the Kichatna River in the Alaska Range for many years. That was before we came here to Chickaloon 2o years ago. My husband was born in Anchorage, but I came up when I was 11.

I was two when we moved to Seward haha I remember the first red blinking stoplight they installed and how everyone complained that the city wasted money and should have just left the stop signs. I was 4 or 5 then so that was back in ohh 1991 i think.
