Very interesting! A little annoyed at McMurray for the deception, but I appreciate the info!! I learn a lot from you all. And yes these were around $4.50 each. Only wanted for the blue eggs so no harm no foul (fowl? Lol)

They get away with it by spelling it differently. Typically if you see AmerIcana its really an EE, as the proper spelling for the breed is AmerAUcana. Another thing you have to look out for is one of the hatcheries sells ameraucana BUT they've mixed all the colors together. So I guess technically, they're ameraucana, but with very non-standard colors. To the point where their color won't breed true.
