I went outside to let my girls out. One of my 10 week leghorns was laying down. She had bloody mucous dripping from her left nostril. She is lethargic. She didn't want to stand. Her tail is drooping and she is somewhat puffed up. She is almost half the size of the other leghorn her age. She is skin and bones. She is the only baby with baby down still covering much of her body. I saw her poop. It was very small and almost black. I brought her in the house. Once in the house, she pooped again and it was mostly water with a little milky white substance to it.

Can she be saved at this point? I have never had to cull a bird before and I'm not sure that I can do it.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I made the heart-wrenching decision to cull. I didn't want to draw out her suffering only to have her die in the end. She was nothing but skin and bones. I believe she is the same leghorn that I treated for coccidiosis when she was about 3 weeks old. She was never quite right.
