10 week old (chicks? Chickens?) and dust baths

So our chickens have just completed their first week not stuck inside the run(we are letting them free range) and they have been sunbathing in our wood chips a little bit. Do we need to provide them with dirt or something else to let them dust bathe in or should we just let them go bout their things in the wood chips? If we do need to give them a dust bath then could you please tell me how to do that?

Do you have dirt in you yard? The wood chips are fine until they figure it out.

Any photos? Is it big enough for most of the flock to dig up and roll around in?

I would fill up a old tire or really anything big enough for them with masonry sand (because play Stand and some other Sands particles are too small and they can cause respiratory problems) that way they can bath in that. I use sand for my chickens and it works great
